I need field suggestion

I recieve 1071 marks in matriculation and studying in 1st year intermediate.....i want to do mechanical engineering.....but due to no scope of this field i m confused and worried......now i want to study software engineering but i choose chemistry (FSC PRE ENGINEERING) not ICS .....people tell me that i cant do software without studying computer subject in intermediate .....plzzzzz suggest me b...
